Lakehurst, NJ is a town I never knew existed until a few months ago. When I think of the name Lakehurst my first thoughts are to picture the rival school from the show Degrassi, which is a fictional television show and takes place in Canada. lol I know, but that was what came to mind when I read the road sign. Lakehurst is in an area that we normally don't pass when out for a drive. I was excised when we veered off the circle in the direction of this town. There wasn't much to see in this small town, but we found railroad tracks and that was enough for us to get out and explore.
Hurry Smile your on Indian Cabin Road | Urban Decay Photographer | Lizabeth Carl Photography9/26/2015 Indian Cabin Road... well one of the many Indian Cabin Roads in South Jersey. This one is on the property a Day Camp and the road loops around the lake.
Found this old mill when getting lost one day. Around the back of the building and down a long slopping driveway you can see the date of the building and a falling apart old porch. Part of the building is boarded off, but I got inside and was able to see the basement of the mill. It appears to have very bad fire damage and the stairs to the first floor are no longer accessible. It was spooky but I couldn't resist snapping a few inside shots before getting my butt out of there.
Kristen's Maternity Session | South Jersey Pregnancy Photographer | Lizabeth Carl Photography9/15/2015 I love taking a trip to a local park to do maternity sessions especially when the family already has one or more little ones. I get more interaction with the kids and the scenery gives me a lot more to work with then just a plain backdrop. More exciting. I love spring, summer, and fall for that reason.
Somewhere in the Forest of Medford, NJ | Urban Decay Photography | Lizabeth Carl Photography9/6/2015 A few years back a family friend told me about the Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford, NJ. This place was where they recuse sick and injured animals, house animals who can not be returned to the wild due, and educate the public. They hold birthday parties, school trips, and guided hikes. It was created in the 1950's and is still up and running today.
